Andrea Castagna, an artisan specialised in hand-painted silk and fabric decoration, gets the inspiration for her designs from an idea, a drawing, a writing, a colour or a texture. In order to correctly work with silk and to avoid wrinkles in the fabric, Andrea Castagna Crea does everything very meticulously. She achieves perfect finishes by using gutta and marking each line individually. Gutta is derived from latex, and is a technique which consists of isolating the colours you apply to avoid them from mixing up your design.
