Round silver pendant with two different types of gold and citrine. The necklace has a stainless steel chain. Citrine is a gemstone and member of the quartz family with a yellowish colour, although its colour can vary from a clear yellow to orange shades. It has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale and its name derives from the French word citron (lemon in English). 925 silver, also known as “sterling silver” is composed of 92.5% silver or precious metal. This means that if it were divided into 1000 parts, 925 would be pure silver and the rest would be made of another material, usually copper. “Pure gold” or 999 gold has a purity of 99.9%. Similarly, 750 gold is 75% pure, with the rest of the percentage consisting of other materials (silver, copper, palladium…). This is what is known as “fine gold” or 18 carat gold.
