New online craft goods shop of the Association of Creative Craftspeople of Fuerteventura

On 11 November we were able at last to hold the official presentation of our new website and its online shop. It is a project we have been working on for several months, so that all our artisans can show their art, profession and give a sample of the craft products that can be found in Fuerteventura and so the world can get to know the creative craftspeople and the stories behind each piece and work.

Thanks to the Island Council of Fuerteventura

First of all, we want to say THANK YOU to the Island Council of Fuerteventura for its support in making this project possible and to Domingo Pérez Saavedra, Councillor for Industry, Energy, Trade, Crafts, and Classified Activities of the Island Council of Fuerteventura, for being with us at this ceremony and showing us his interest and expertise in continuing to support the Creative Craftspeople of Fuerteventura.

“WE’RE GOING TO CONTINUE PROMOTING CRAFTS; YOU CAN COUNT ON THE SUPPORT OF THE ISLAND COUNCIL, WHICH HAS AN OBLIGATION TO STRENGTHEN THE ASSOCIATION AND THE ARTISANS OF THE ISLAND OF FUERTEVENTURA.”

Also present at the ceremony, held in the plenary chamber of the Island Council of Fuerteventura, were our representatives: the former president, Paula da CruzFelipe Bobadilla, secretary of the association, and Marcos Martínez, our current president.

“THIS IS AN IMPORTANT AND HAPPY DAY, BECAUSE AFTER MANY MONTHS OF WORK AND A LOT OF EFFORT FROM MANY PEOPLE, TODAY WE CAN FINALLY PRESENT OUR ONLINE SHOP TO THE WORLD.”

And as part of the work team, Etnonautas, the company responsible for developing the project, and Jacco Van den Hoek, the designer who has created the association’s corporate identity and made sure the web design won all our hearts, were also there.

“THE VALUE PROPOSITION WE HAVE ON THIS SITE IS to create a LINK BETWEEN THE USER, THE ARTISAN, THEIR WORK AND THE ISLAND OF FUERTEVENTURA.”

«THE FINGERPRINT REFLECTS THE OUTLINE OF THE ISLAND AND HAS A DUAL MEANING: THE IMPRINT THAT CRAFTSPEOPLE LEAVE BY MAKING THEIR PRODUCTS AND ALSO THE ONE LEFT BY FUERTEVENTURA.”

What you can find on our site

Our website brings crafts and the work of artisans together with potential customers in the Canary Islands, the rest of Spain and internationally. It is a portal that attracts users to get to know the artisans behind each handmade craft product.

Online shop and displays

The aim of this website is to bring creative crafts in Fuerteventura to every corner and this is achieved through an online shop and display.

In the online shop products can be bought directly from the craftspeople, with no intermediaries. You can see the prices and details of each unique creation. There is also a space for artisans who just want to exhibit their pieces; you can see their display and speak to them directly about any kind of order.

Site search and map

With our search engine you can find the type of craft you’re looking for. The results are shown on a map so that you can interactively discover the craftspeople spread around the island.
